PA390 confusion
moellerg
We're having some issues running and submitting our EEO report. The file that Lawson produces doesn't match the file spec that the eeo.gov spec needs.
Has anyone been successful in uploading (correctly) the EEO report from PA390?

Hello Gregg. There was a recent patch, 106761 for 9.0.1. Fixes the missing EIN.
But even with that, I end up using Ultra Edit and fixing a few things

Yeah, I noticed the missing EIN number patch. Tried to load it, but it didn't change anything so there was nothing to activate.

I used Notepad Plus to add the missing EIN numbers to my upload file. I uploaded the file 13 days ago and haven't heard anything from the government. I only received the automatic reply email on the day I uploaded. The phone lines are always busy.

PA390EEO-yes, an "inconsistent" situation. You can test the file online, which is great; but then the final file get's emailed, but do get an email confirmation. I think last year it was three months before we heard back after that.

We manually put the EIN number while Lawson was fixing the program.. the CTP to fix this is 106761.
We sent over our file on 9/14 and still haven't heard anything back.. I've emailed their tech email and called a few times and still have not heard a word back.

Just so everyone is aware... the e1data file produced by PA390 is nowhere close to the new specs that are on the eeo.gov site. Just adding the missing EIN number will not get you an acceptable file... I would bombard with phone calls, emails, etc until you actually hear back from a live person that your file is acceptable.

PA390- the good news is that you can test your file before submitting.

We do edit ours using Ultra Edit to match the spec, then test it. Once it tests ok, we submit and wait-since it's near impossible to get in touch with them after that. If there is a problem with their test upload (I think it's pretty reliable) that is on them.

I tested mine back in Sept and the only thing it didn't like was the EIN number was missing. The layout I just pulled down for EEO-1 files matches what we sent.

OK. I was mistaken. The data file is close. And maybe just adding the EIN number will get you close.

We are in the same boat. I submitted our file on the due date of 9/30 and received the confirmation email they received the file successfully. I then reached out to their technical contact via email the following week and did not hear back from them. I then called into their customer service line and they told me they could not really help me and that I needed wait for the technical resource to get back to me. I still have not heard back and the deadline is now October 30th for everyone but don't we need to certify our data prior to that date?
My problem is that I also set the file download I sent with a 7 day restriction to download and now that time has passed. Unsure what the next steps should be to ensure we are in compliance when we cannot get a response?

Has anyone received notification from EEOC regarding their file they submitted. We are considering manually entering the data before the deadline.

Last year we successfully tested and then emailed our file by 9/30. They did not respond until 12/16 that they had uploaded the file.
Each company has to make it's own decision, we are going to wait.
(Test site is
egov.eeoc.gov/.../test_file_reg.jsp
if anyone still wants to check their file.)
