AS part of our testing 10.1.8.25 of MSCM with android devices we found that there is not a way to set a session timeout or force a user to log out of a device after a certain period of time. Since the devices are not 'by user' we were trying to find out how to ensure user A doesn't leave Device 1 logged in and User B pick it up and work under the prior user's login. We had this issue on our prior Windows CE devices and were hoping this was being rectified with the newer android releases. We were suggested a workaround of using a combination of sleep time and disconnecting wifi but that does not work if you set he time for anything less than 30 minutes. Is appears there is no way to actively kill the INFOR session being held by the device. This could be a security risk with multiple users sharing devices since all users may not have the same level of access. Even choosing 'sign out' does not 'kill the session. If your can use the back arrow on the device you can get back into the active session. We are using KIOSK screens in our MDM to try and manage this but if the user hits back enough they can get back to a prior active session. I was told we could request an enhancement for this, however I would hope that session management would be something on the road map. Can anyone confirm this? Has anyone else run into this issue? If yes, how do you handle this issue in our areas?
