Variable definitions keep randomly disappearing in my forms - CSI 9.0.01

This is making me crazy. I will use Edit -> Variables -> New to create variables to use in my form. For some unknown reason the definitions will randomly disappear on me. I've been beating my hed against a bug for the past 45 minutes only to discover its because all my binding variables disintegrated.

Has anyone else had this happen to them? What is causing it?!

Obvious question... you're setting Persistent to true?

Are you closing the form and pressing CTRL+U before adding the new variables?

Persistent is set to False. I have numerous custom forms where this is set to False & I don't have the issue of them completely vanishing from my Form. And it's arbitrary as well.

I'm not flushing the cache prior to adding the variable(s). I'm wondering if this is a bug in Mongoose and it'll only be fixed if I can get us to 9.01.10.

I don't get this at all..... it's getting worse.

1. Flush every conceivable cache on the server & CTRL+U in CSI

2. Form -> Definition -> Design -> MY_FORM

3. Edit -> Variables -> New

4. Add 3 variables: vMessage, vRank and vWarehouse. 2 w default values all set to permanent FALSE.

5. Save the Form & leave design mode.

6. Close the form, CTRL+U

7. Form -> Definition -> Design -> MY_FORM

8. Edit->Variables

9. Theyr'e gone.

Based on the "Help" screen, persistent shouldn't matter:

Forms use variables to communicate between themselves, and to save environment information across form executions. Some variables are temporary, but persistent variables are loaded to and from disk. Variables can be global or associated with a particular form. You can use variables for many purposes, including binding them to components and controlling the initial action of a form.

Am I seriously doing something wrong or what is this?

Sometimes Infor documentation is wrong. I know I have had this problem and changed my variables to persistent and the problem goes away. I suggest you give this a try to see if it makes a difference.
