Dutch numbering format in an English installation set up

Hi,

We have a Dutch company who will have a single logistics/finance company on our installation which is set up in English.

They want to have the Dutch number format, but as far as I can see this is set up at installation level and would change all of our current UK companies format too.

Has anybody gotten around this issue.

Check out KB 691576 (How to have different settings (i.e. date, decimal point) on the same language).



With LN, you can create additional language codes with different settings. They are sometimes referenced as 'twin languages'. (Make sure that you pick a language code that is not otherwise used by a translation.) Different from BaanIV, if a language dependent component is not found for that language code, it will fall back to English (2).



On our environment, we created the following:

q | English (M/W/D/Y) , . | Month Week Day Year | , | . | - : | ISO88591 | No

x | English (Y/W/M/Y) , . | Year Week Month Day | , | . | - : | ISO88591 | No



Those tools language codes are then used with the users and also linked to the application languages.



Important, if the 'twin language' is English, you should also configure the text handling for that language with the 'Link text Language' (tttxt0140m000) session. It makes sure that 'English' text with language codes e, q, & x is also stored as 2.
