EAM Extensible framework for Custom fields

Hi All,

Is it possible to write an extensible framework code for custom fields? For example, i have a custom field in WSJOBS record view and i want to make the field protected . 

Any example will be of great help. For base fields, we can use the field name in our code, but using the custom field code/label does not work.

and also just to let you know that how can you get custom field details if you don't know.

As you right click on custom field you will get "cust_1_CHAR_ENTITY_FIELDNAME" name like this top of the dialog.
