Expedite Orders

How are others flagging POs which need to be expedited (over nights, for example)? We want to begin reported on expedited orders, but are not sure how best to flag POs. A user field perhaps?

We created a PO Code for expedited orders. We can then search by PO Code.

We're using the priority flag on the requisition. We messed with the RQC config.xml so it says "Special Shipping" with options instead of numbers.

I like this idea. Did you create the drop down options in the RQC config.xml as well? Do you have an IPA that notifies the buyer?

I have no idea where IT put all the things. User selects an option - it changes the priority number to 1-5 and creates a comment with corresponding verbiage. The PO100 for priority 1-10 is setup to leave the POs unreleased for the buyer.

Edit - my coworker has reminded me that the drop down is indeed also in the config file.

Yes, you create the drop down structure in the config file as well. Below is an example of the one we have set up. We also have the PO100 to leave the expedited shipping POs unreleased.
