IONAPI Authentication/Authorization Problems with Infor APIs M3 and IDM

Hi.

An Customer of us have problems with many builtin Infor APIs.

It seems there is a problem with the Authentication.

At first we can see that a lot of the Endpoints documentations cannot fetch from the service with an internal server error 500.

The ion-api.log logs some lines as: "loadSwagger Error retrieving documentation: Forbidden"

When we try to add an M3 or IDM Widget in the Homepages for example we also became this forbidden error on the get request.

Can someone give me a hint where i find the settings reffering to the security or authentication about the IONAPI Service an calls?

Hi,

What is the version of Infor OS?

If you go to ION API / Monitoring page, does it show any error?

Are the affected authorized Apps Infor Document Management and Infor ION?

If you go to API Metadata page, can you execute /api/products REST call and what is the outcome?

The OS Version is 12.0.37.

What did you mean with ION API / Monitoring Page?

The affected authorized Apps are:

Infor Document Management,

Infor ION => The Endpoints with the error are: OneView (the Modul failed to start) / AlarmService / ProcessUser => The endpoints ProcessApplication / MessagingService / DataCatalog / BusinessRule seems to work and have no error with the documentation

Infor M3.

The authorized Apps Infor Mingle / Infor Search has also not the errors with the documentation.

With the rest call you mean under API-Metadata => GET /products and then in the field pageNO "REST" and execute?

With this query i became the result: 500: "error": "Unexpected metadata error - misconfiguration issue" / content-length: 62 content-type: application/json

Is this the same one that you had problems with elastic search.

Was this upgraded or is it fresh install..

Can you compare FarmDB/ClientOauthKey for record with ApplicationServiceID=900 (IDM Rest) with what Infor GRID shows in Security/ OAuth Credentials for IDM-OAuthConsumerCredential.. It might be ****, but once we had a problem that OAuth credentials were not updated..

Can you check FarmDB/ServiceConfigurationDetail table for records, that are having https addresses for elastic search (ending with port number 9200).

No its another customer.

Also an update from 12.0.28 to 12.0.37.

I check the Database records as you suggestet an give an call in this thread about the results

Hi again Tilen...

I have checked the DB as you suggested... The OAuth Credential is ok, same on DB as on Grid shows.

I have 3 https Urls in ServiceConfigurationDetail Table that looks ok.
