Notifications of Async transactions 'terminate abnormal'

What/how is the best way to be able to monitor async q's for failures as an administrator?

We are in cloud with FSM and GHR. Currently we go look at the async q several times a day.

I'm sure we could figure out how to write some IPA that looks at the status and send an email of any with a terminate abnormal status multiple times a day but would be nice to get a 'real time' notice of failures.

I had this issue on prem and was hoping for some set up in the cloud to help but I haven't found any yet.

Thoughts?

When you setup your jobs/processes to run there should be an option (possibly under Advanced Settings) to provide an email address to notify upon failure. It doesn't work for us because our internal security policy won't whitelist the email address the notification comes from, but if your company allows that you should be able to get notified that way.

Yes... that works for things you schedule but things that are not scheduled is what I'm trying to catch.

Do you have an example of a job that's terminating abnormally that you're not scheduling? Based on the job/action name in Async I can check our settings.

Things like people doing text searches sometimes fail, future effective dated transactions, this week we have had failures when staff are trying to create Discipline . Action driven things.

Hi everyone. Per support they have nothing in the plan to provide any functionality for an alert mechanism on Async failures and suggested enhancement request. If you are doing the same as me and going in to monitor async 'failure' tab multiple times a day.. please go endorse my enhancement request. Thank you!

Hi Annette, what version of GHR are you using? We use a hybrid - single tenant in the cloud. Our Configuration Parameter List is blank, so I'm unable to follow your steps. I assume it's because we are not multi tenant?

We are MT. But try this.. in Rich Client, in the hcm part (not gen) search ConfigurationParm . Make sure you pick the one in lausiness class.. then you should be able to 'create new' parameter to follow the screen shots in my document
