1199 Union Dues Calculation

Good Afternoon All,

Our employees recently voted in 1199 SEIU to represent them. 1199 Union Dues are calculated as such:

2% of gross wages

Minimum of $20.00 per pay period.

We looked through the calculation types on PR05, but none of them seem to fit the bill. Has anybody else encountered this issue? How did you calculate the union dues for these employees?

We have our deduction code set up as follows;

Cal Type = %

Amount =2

Employee Paid

On the more tab we have a monthly limit of 100

Hi Tommy! We deduct dues for several unions here. We have the deductions set up on PR05 with a Calculation Type of "X - custom Calculation." Then we coded the deduction formulas provided to us by the unions in the COBOL member PRUEDED. When a deduction is set up with Calculation Type of X, PR140 calculates the deduction using the code in PRUEDED. This member is found in the PR system source code library, /prsrc/prpdlib.

I forgot the wages part!! We have a pay class attached to the deduction code that includes the hours and dollars for the % calculation
