Goals Management - Employees need to enter results

Hello Everyone, We are implementing the Goals module and have run into an issue. I am interested to see how others are handling it. Our leaders have goals that in our current system they enter the results themselves - one example is a budget variance calculation that varies by leader. In Infor Goals, the leader can only enter results for their staff, they cannot enter results on their own goals. We are struggling with how to manage the results for these types of goals - of which we have a few.

How are others handling the entering of results like this? Are you using Performance Management to do so? An action plan on the Goal? Or is someone else entering the results? Any thoughts would be appreciated and I would be happy to talk offline if needed.

Hi Pam,

In Infor Goals, the leader can only enter results for their staff, they cannot enter results on their own goals. We are struggling with how to manage the results for these types of goals-- Basically the requirement should be leaders or top management should rate their reportees instead of rating themselves. We can convince client in the below way to work out. Heirarchy wise setup will work out here. For example. The Top Level - CEO will enter results/ratings for his 4 reportees say (Director HR, Director Sales, Director Marketing, Director Marketing). The next level, Director HR will provide ratings to his reportees - HR Business Partner, Sr HR Business partner. The next level, SR HR Business partner provides ratings to his reportees- SR HR Manager, HR Manager. The next level Sr HR Manager to his Recruiter, HR executive, HR analyst. This way results will work out. For this we need to do configuration with where we need to provide security for respective user.

Basically we can prefer Manager- Employee reporting relationship

How are others handling the entering of results like this? --- Initially, the setup will be based on Plan, Goals/Objectives, Measures, ratings. The goals/objectives will be base don grades

Are you using Performance Management to do so? We should use Performance management

Or is someone else entering the results? Only for CEO/Director/VP which can be driven Selt auto approve

Hi Pam,

With an upgade of GHR last year, our managers were suddenly unable to even enter basic performance updates on their own goals - things like percent complete or status that they had been able to enter in previous years. I was able to identify problematic security code in the GMMEmployee_ST business class and reported that to Infor Support. However, because our security isn't 100% vanilla standard, this isn't being taken seriously. Anyway, sharing this with you because you may also run into it (code below), and I have a suggestion for your original problem. Write a custom action for the manager to enter results into, then let that action update the results on the goal. I've had some success doing that with goal ratings on appraisals.

Remove the condition CanUpdateOrDelete

Remove it from the EeCanUpdateOrDelete statement

Specifically add these actions to the allowed list UpdatNotBonusObjectiveApprovalStatusApproved, Update, and Update Approved
