User Fields in IC11?

Hello,

Just wondering if anyone knew if the User Fields 1-5 in IC11 were reserved for anything? We're thinking of putting some separate tracking information in there, but wanted to make sure that it wouldn't affect anything in the Item Master.

The User Fields aren't reserved for any one purpose. We use them for a few different purposes:

1) Store a "Clinician-Friendly" name for our products, since our hospital staff sometimes call our items names that are easier to remember.

2) Store Patient Charge Code information. We have a 6-digit code associated with how much the product will cost the patient.

3) Store alternate manufacturer catalog #s. Some products come with 2-3 reference numbers, so we store the other catalog #s in one user field so as to be searchable in our custom reporting.
