Turnover Data- NDNQI Reporting

Hi,

Our HR team is interested in finding out how other healthcare organizations are gathering turnover data for NDNQI. 

Add in query, DB query, LBI, manual, etc.  

 

Our HR team queries the db using multiple add-in's and manual data manipulation.  Has anyone automated this reporting process?

Are you looking for Turnover with regards to Terminations? Or are you looking for anytime a position turned over (terminations and transfers)?



If only the terminations are needed, then yes we did somewhat automate this report. We run a Crystal Report against the Lawson DB. We are still on S3, so we pull from the following tables:



DEPTCODE

DEPTSEGBLK

EMPLOYEE

EMPSTATUS

JOBCODE



We breakout Turnover in the following order



Job Code

Department

Administrator



We have parameters setup to prompt the user to define the dates for which to run turnover. If only monthly data is needed then it is pretty straight forward. However, if you are looking for YTD and Project Turnover then it is very tricky, because according to SHRM an average of the employees needs to be calculated.
