Sending automated emails from Infor CRM

I have a requirement to send automated email notifications from Infor CRM when a To-Do task is created and again when it is completed. How can I send these emails from Infor CRM? Is it possible to do from a C# event handler on the To-Do form?

Without an external tool like TaskCentre or KnowledgeSync there is nothing built into the CRM client to handle this. YOu could use our Mail Queue module to handle this. customerfx.com/.../

Are you running Infor CRM standalone, or alongside Infor OS? If it is running within the Infor OS framework, it may be possible to use the ION workflow integration to send alerts/emails based on activity related triggers.

It is stand alone. We do not have Infor OS. I just found out we have KnowledgeSync, so I will use that.

Yes, KnowledgeSync should work really well for this. If you need further help implementing, I would be glad to help; we use KS for similar scenarios quite often

I would use either KnowledgeSync if this is available already, other possibility would be build-in solution of MS SQL with a local SMTP server.

We have created multiple solutions for this based on ether KS, ION, custom app, SQL etc. So there are many ways to accomplish this, it deepends on the available tools, the business needs (are there other requirements to use similar functionality), IT governance etc.

But if KS is already available, this is your best option in my opinion.
