IPA future and OS

Hi all,

This question is about to understand the differences between IPA and ION and is in no way a troll.

Is that true that IPA is becoming obsolete and is being replaced by the ION features available in OS ?

Are there IPA functionalities that cannot be found in ION ?

Infor's goal is to have only one workflow, which will be ION, but currently ION is not a replacement for IPA. I just saw that they have come out with a scheduler for ION for cloud customers but it is not available for on-premise.

ION supports the majority if not all Landmark Web service calls. If you now how to locate your Landmark Transaction by module, you can find it's complimenting REST API call and work with it in Swagger.

For example, invoking PaymentPrintImport web service that iterates a csv file generated from S3 to provision EmployeeSpace. This is a Action Create REST.

My workflow authenticates as a backend service authorized through oauth2. This allows me run my workflow onprem connected to cloudsuite and uses gold 'ole cron as an alternate but reliable scheduler. Mingle auditing is a nice touch, it updates everytime the workflow runs.
