I have a Customer using FACTS 7.6.
On Systems using Windows 7 Home Premium, the FACTS 7.6 Client intermittently stops working. Error message: ProvideX has stopped responding. The FACTS Client then shuts down.
The problem happens particularly when using the Customer Inquiry screen. After typing in a Customer# and clicking on the "Pricing" button, the error occurs. The problem is happening intermittently and happens with different Customer numbers.
Systems running Windows XP Pro do NOT have this problem.
I have tried the following in order to resolve and without success...
1. Uninstalled the FACTS Client and WindX. Rebooted the System. Deleted any infor and facts folders. Reinstalled FACTS and WindX.
2. Tried using WindX 7.71,
www.pvx.com/.../WindX-standalone-7.71.0000-windows-32bit-x86.exe3. Formatted and reinstalled all software on the System, minus Antivirus software. Downloaded and installed the latest drivers including flashing the BIOS.
4. Configured pvxwin32.exe to run in Compatibility Mode. Configured Compatiblity Mode as follows...
Windows XP SP3.
Disabled Visual Themes
Disabled Desktop Composition
Disable Display scaling on high DPI settings
