Auto issuing - Linked demand

Hello everyone,

I'm currently allocating work orders to demand for specific parts. When the work order gets received my understanding is the demand will be fulfilled automatically by that receipt, but for some reason the material isn't getting issued out. Does anyone know what I might be missing to make this work?

Hi Marcus,



We are using allocated demand too. Visual doesn’t’ issue the material when we received the work order. It’s a manual transaction for trace part and the auto-issue is done when we ship the work order (yes, we ship work order, not part. I don’t know why they decided that back 10 years ago). The allocated demand is used to fix the work order with the demand in material planning windows.
