Importing a sub-grid / sub-collection with Paste Rows Append?

Is there a way to import a line of a sub-grid or sub-collection via Paste Rows Append ?

For instance, in Current Materials (main collection = SLJobmatls), I want to use the grid in the References tab (subcollection SLJobrefs).

I know the relation between CurMats and Refs is 1:N, but I would be interested in being able to import 1 Ref line for each CurMats line.

Any trick you might know for this?

Unfortunately the answer is no. It is a separate collection and has to be loaded separately. Just like a parent-child relationship, the parent record has to exist (been transacted) before you can then add a child record via another transaction.
