API's with Magento

Hi, one of my clients is asking about API's for FACTS 9.3. 

They would like to communicate with their website to accomplish these things:

• The client will provide an API to be able to send updated billing address as well as updated, deleted and new shipping addresses.
• API call (JSON format) built by the client to inject the quote request into the Infor ERP system.
• API call (JSON format) built by the client to inject the order into the Infor ERP system. 

 

Has anyone done something like this that they would assist with? or have any pointers to accomplish this? 

This client does not that the AT module.

I am not sure why their Magento developer cannot create XML payloads as I have integrated both Magento and Shopify with a few clients having their own Shopping Cart developers posting the standard QuoteLoad, OrderLoad, and OrderTotal requests directly to FACTS. But this would require the API Toolkit (AT Module) and is HIGHLY recommended.



If not, then you would have to create your own endpoint to handle JSON and manually create all of the above requests manually. I have done this in a few instances in a limited fashion without going into detail BUT is very time consuming and not recommended.
