Editing sequence of bin groups

Has anyone else run into the issue of having to completely delete a bin group to add a new item, otherwise the system automatically adds the new bin group to the end, out of order? We have an enhancement request in, and have had numerous discussions but we are being told this is working as designed. We are working on moving our entire supply to our brand new storeroom, and many other departments will also be recreated and our fear is that we are going to be doing a lot of building, deleting and recreating to these in the correct order. Not to mention, just constant evolution in supply changes--it seems crazy that we can edit the sequence number, or properly place it the same as it is on the shelf?

When we used bin groups for cycle counts, we would build our bin groups out farther than we needed. Meaning we loaded more shelf locations than there were actual shelves so they're always in order. No need to add a new bin location to the bin group later. For instance we'll load



AA01A01 through AA01A15

AA01B01 through AA01B15

CB05C01 through CB05C15 and so forth



Basically loading 15 bins for every row/rack/shelf combination even though the number of bins on each shelf rarely exceeded 9 or 10. This allowed for expanding the number of items on a shelf and keeping the bins in order.
