Fed Ex Ship Manager Integration Template?

Hi All,

We are adding Fed Ex Shipping Manager to the mix. I am attempting to set up the integration manager to pull the packlist and subsequent customer data into Fed Ex. I would like to use the packlist ID as a lookup rather than the order ID. Does anyone have a template they would like to share? Or any advice on the best way to set it up?

UPS was a pretty simple integration. I seem to be struggling with this one.

Hi

We use Fedex Shipping Manager and we produce a Crystal report (selected by despatch note number). This is saved as a csv file in a network folder. The Ship Manager software is set to import this file. The Ship Manager software has to be set up by a Fedex Engineer to make this work - it's a special bit of software.

A lot depends on your particular setup and process flow, such as when do you add freight to the order and when do you close it. If the order is open you can write a query in FedEx Integration Manager to pull the order info into FedEx, and then after processing post that back into Visual. Then when you close and ship the order it will bill correctly.

Thanks Elaine! I am using an ODBC Connection straight to the DB. Seems pretty straight forward but it isn't:-(

We typically process the order-and ship in Visual and with UPS enter the packlist ID and pull it in. We currently enter the shipping charges at the invoicing stage-manually. I would be happy with the same set up.
