W-4 for states that use the Federal Form

For the states that use the Federal W-4 Form for State Withholdings (Colorado, Delaware, Idaho, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Carolina, Utah, or Wisconsin), are you able to use EMSS for Tax Withholding changes? We are in NM, and our State Withholding option is EMSS still has a box for "Exemptions". Does anyone have a work around to allow employees to remove their current exemptions but not change/add exemptions? We have had our Tax Withholding bookmarks locked since January 1st, and this is our only outstanding issue. Thank you fin advance or any insight!

Nebraska still bases withholding on marital status/allowances so Nebraska now has a state W-4 form and no longer bases state withholding on the federal form.

Hi, we are a Missouri employer, and although MO has it's own form, it mimics the changes of the Federal form. MO, as of last year, no longer recognizes exemptions, either. Infor told me since they do not support state tax forms that we would have to use Design Studio and modify our own form. I haven't chatted with our internal developers yet to see whether they can do that or not, but I will share our progress/challenges when I do. We are a Cloud customer so that always makes things a bit trickier.

BSI just delivered functionality for the states who use the Federal W-4 (Delaware, Nebraska and South Carolina have created their own form for 2020) with TaxFactory 10.0.x (released 02/20/2020).

Infor JT-1379625 (TF 10.0.x update) and JT-1366801 (W-4 phase 2) will support this functionality and both are targeted to be delivered in a week or two.

For those of you that would like to clear out the old Federal Exemption value I was able to modify w4.htm to get it to do it. In the function CallPR13Fed() I added the line + "&EDM-EXEMPTIONS1=0" at the end of the if statement that checks if the year is greater than or equal to 2020.

I have tested this in our DEV environment with success.

How many have applied this BSI patch? We noticed that taxes could increase for employees by up to 20 dollars extra per payperiod. Today as you know there is no way to add deductions or exceptions?
