Infor OS Installation issue - org.bouncycastle.asn1.ASN1ObjectIdentifier cannot be cast to org.bounc

I'm looking at an Infor OS install and running into an issue when I get to the "Web User Interface Configuration" screen:

The error message is not very helpful

Can anyone advise what this error message means & the likely resolution?

sorry, I don't have an answer but the installer is very stable when all prerequisites are met - so I would start by double checking those. Please log a ticket with Infor support and they should be able to provide help

Hi, Al. I can also vouch that the installer has been stable when all prerequisites are met.

One thing that caught my eye in your screenshot... is the alias being entered the same in each of the entries? That's what I typically see and do. If an alias hasn't been setup for use, then this will be the the fully qualified Infor OS server name, using the default ports (as you are already doing).

It could also be an error with the SSL certificate, though I don't recall seeing that particular error when I have encountered certificate errors.

Good luck! Logging an incident might be your next best step. I would be curious to hear what is triggering that particular error.

Thanks Stephanie, looking at this again it was the SSL certificate. The server had originally been enrolled under the "SSL Certificate Template" policy, and I needed to delete that certificate and re-enroll under the modified "Computer" policy that had the appropriate encryption and signing algorithms set.
