Reusable Items
Stace Webley
Currently, how we setup reusable items in an inventory location is we mark it as a No Charge item, no auto purchasing, and crank SOH up to like a million. This ensures no body is charged, we always have SOH, and it doesn't land on a PO without user intervention.
I'm curious if this is the only way...how are others setting up reusables? I noticed on IC11.1 there is a Reusable option under the Usage Identifier flag on the Main tab. Is this a field that could be utilized for this purpose? Thanks!

We're interfacing to Epic - so Finance has us actually break some of them down - specifically the robot supplies. I created a UOM PU (Patient Use) and have that as the stock UOM. Then EA is 10 PU and is the buy UOM.
Basic med-surg follows your current setup.
The Use Identifier flag in IC11 can be used - but there is nothing to prevent the charge - and that charge is for the stock uom value.
If you figure out a way to get it there, I'd love to hear.

Stace - do you still use a no charge item for resusable items?
