Self-Service for Employees without Domain Accounts?

Hi all - I am Lawson admin at a performing arts venue. We have employees that we pay that do not have domain accounts - think stage hands, hair/make-up, other part-time, seasonal, or temporary work. Is it possible to set employees up with self-service access without a domain account?

It depends

Setting them up in the application is easy. The real question is - how will they login?

If you're on Infor Cloud, your options are quite limited (more options with Single Tenant).

So, I will assume you're on-premise, where you really have better options.

If you still use LSasSTS, and your "primary" connection is LDAP (e.g. to AD), you can set a multi-bind, the secondary BIND being going to the non-AD repository.

If you're on ADFS, you will have to set a secondary SAML2.0-accessible repository for non-AD users. Azure, PingFederate or Okta are prime examples of such repositories.

If you use InforSTS, then you can use LDAP BIND to a non-AD repository, such as ADLDS, which can house your non-AD users.
