Access Lawson Self-Service outside Network/Firewall

Hi there - newish Lawson admin here, forgive the newbie question. I am wondering if it is possible to make Lawson self-service available to employees when they are not on the company network or working over VPN? Very much appreciate being directed to any information on this, and let me know if I can provide more information.

Are you on-premise or hosted?

For hosted installations in Infor cloud the answer depends on your setup, so I will not go into that for now.

For on-premise, the short answer is - Yes. The long one is pretty complicated. If you use VPN or Citrix, user that use that are usually "inside" from the network point of view. So, usually you do not need to do anything special in this case.

If the users really need to get in directly from the "outside", you will need to expose some Lawson server (e.g. the one with external Portal components) as well as means of authentication (e.g. ADFS or WAP, if you use ADFS). You may also decide to expose Mingle or InforOS, but that will not let you limit your external access just to EMSS easily. You will also need to set proper endpoints for external access in LSF and set the policy file that limits external endpoint to the EMSS-only access.
