Unable to load the Documentation for M3 REST API (Error Code 500)

Hello,

May I request for your help in configuring the M3 Suite in ION API? I'm getting internal server error when trying to load the documentation. Please see screenshots below.

Below are the steps I tried to resolve the issue in our test environment:

- Changed the jdk version from 7 to 8 to be able to start the Ming.le Search service

- Restarted the Infor OS server

-Reindexed API metadata, after this I'm able to load the documentation for standard APIs (ION and Ming.le)

- For M3 Suite, I generated a new client certificate from M3 ION Grid and uploaded it in ION API

- Reindexed M3 API Suite

- Tried to load again the documentation but getting the same error

I can now load the documentation for MRS001MI but still getting the response internal server error. Other documentation is still not working.

Greetings;

I'm having a similar problem with a Single Tenant customer right now. I have a ticket open with Infor Support. The reply this morning is they think it may be an expired ticket. I'm getting error 500 on most functions in that environment. They said check LCM for an expired certificate, but I don't have LCM, so to Escalate to cloud it goes. I hope that helps, Good Luck.

Hi,

A customer of mine had the same issue recently, while we tried a lot of things to get it resolved so it's difficult to say exactly what resolved the issue.

But I believe we fixed it by first disable the impersonation on the applicable router, save it and then enable it again and then generate a new certificate.

Thanks for the response. We don't have expired certificate in LCM. The certificate has 10 years validity.

Hi Maria,

Please try changing the Infor M3 ION API authentication type to Basic instead of Anonymous, and provide credentials - if it works then the problem might be the certificate you generated or the M3 port's Certificate settings (Server Only)

Hello Jonathan,

We tried changing the authentication to basic but still ended with the same error. What we did was we regenerate again the client certificate from M3 ION Grid and import it in ION API. We changed the port in ION API according to https port of the M3 router. After that we're able to load the documentation for all the M3 APIs. But when we tested the API, we now encountered the 404 error. We also noticed that the URL has duplicate MI transaction code. See highlighted text in screenshot below. This maybe the reason for the 404 error. Still waiting for the feedback from Infor Support.

The duplicate method in the URI does look strange. Infor Support should help.

Did the M3 API connection ever worked? Do you have the latest Infor OS version? Is it OnPrem?

What do you see if you go to the metadata page an run the apisuite query with "Infor M3" in the searchcriteria?

We're on Infor OS version 12.0.28, OnPrem deployment. Do you think installing the latest Infor OS version would resolved the issue?

I'm not sure if it worked before. My colleague who did the installation last year has already left.

We tried to go to metadata page but unable to run a query.
