Hi.. We had to update our company contribution to our 401K plan. I updated the BN15 setup with a new BN18.5 record for the new effective date and percentage. I ran the BN105 and it updated all BN32 records for the change except for those where the start date on the record was after the new effective date. We have a 6 month wait before company contribution start so upon hire Lawson creates the record with a start date of 6 months from hire date. Since the employee can start contributing right away, the only way we could make it work was to make separate plans for company and employee contributions. Ours is not a match plan. The company contributes regardless if the employee does.
I have tried everything I can think of but have not found any program that changes these future dated records.
Does anyone one if there is a Lawson program that can be run to update these records? And if not a suggestion on how to change the company contribution percentage on these records. Or any suggestions on how we can change our process that wouldn't create the record until they reach 6 months so we wouldn't have the future dated records.
Before we manually delete all these records out and re-add them I wanted to make sure I am not missing a way to automate the process. Especially this reduction is temporary and once things stabilized due to COVID-19 we are hopefully we will be able to re-instate it and would have future dated records at that time also.
Thanks..
Syl
