In V10 there is only Male and Female. Is Infor working on updating this to include other status including "Non-Binary" or "Unknown"
Please let me know and also what other HR are doing as best practice
Thanks
The actual Gender field is not changing. Infor has added a Gender Identity field to handle the Non-Binary status. You are able to create your own list of Gender Identities so we have Male, Female and Non-Binary as our options. This field exists in S3 and GHR but we have been unable to get the field to update from GHR, even though the data is being passed. Infor delivered a new patch for our issue but haven't tested yet.
We utilize the Userfields in V10 to keep track of that information as well as Ethnicity.
Something to keep in mind is EEO Reporting. The EEO-1 Report breaks down employees by Male and Female. If no Gender is assigned to the employee then they will not be reported on the EEO-1 Report.
We had an HR consultant help us with an audit project years ago. She said, at the time, the employer could make a reasonable assumption on Gender and Ethnicity based on the picture of the person. The employee does not have to disclose the information, but the employer is still responsible for reporting.
