I would like to know what is the difference between importing a Work File or DB import? Thank you in advance for your feedback.
I cannot say that I have heard anyone use the term work file. DB Import is a routine on the Administration Console role. You used that routine to load a csv formatted file into a selected import business class. The process does very minimal validation. Usually there is another process within the CSF application that will take the data from the import business class and validates the data and loads it into the regular destination business class. It is possible that the csv file that gets imported by the DB import routine could be referred to as the work file.
Thanks for the reply. I have not heard of that term as well. This term shows in Infor Accelerator Corporate, process for P Card Transaction to Payment, showing as a separate import process as opposed to DB import. Flow shows to import bank statement to work file and then next process is Interface Procurement Card statement. I am thinking the work file allows you to review and possibly edit before interfacing the P Card statement. Thanks again for your comments.
