Hello!
I recently lost the ability to display and find Field Information in the Status Window using the CTRL+SHIFT+O HotKey shortcut.
Any ideas on how to re-enable this by chance?
Any help or assistance is appreciated!
Thanks,Steven
Not sure if this would work but I would try:
Go to User Preferences and then Hot Keys. Change your Selected Hotkey Set and go down to Display Field Options. Reassign the appropriate keys.
Hi Deana,
Thank you for the response; at this time the HotKey shortcut (CTRL-SHIFT-O) is already assigned; it is not being recognized and the data is not being displayed in the Status Window field of the internet browser.
When I attempt to clear/reset and reassign the HotKey shortcut, it will not assign itself. As a result, the default keys are still assigned but not working.
Can you try to assign a different set of hot keys? Does that work?
Steven, maybe you need to reset the shortcut in Windows (something may have set them back to default values)?
Make sure pop-up are not blocked. Also, there's a setting in IE, that will allow scripts to update the status bar. Make sure that is enabled.
Not sure if I have that exactly right.
Hi All,Thank you for the ideas and feedback; in IE all of the settings related to Scripting and the Status Bar are set correctly and enabled.
I reassigned a new set of HotKeys, in this case CTRL-SHIFT-G and the result worked. I then reset the HotKeys BACK to CTRL-SHIFT-O and I am back in the same predicament where the fields do not display. The short term fix is to reassign the keys, any ideas behind what would restrict CTRL-SHIFT-O from working now?
Thanks,
Steven
If you are on version 10, try clicking on the "?" button and select the Hot Keys option. This will list your current assignments. See if "display field information" is set to ctrl-shift-O on that list. Also, you could try clearing your browser history, or renaming your portal profile so that Lawson will recreate it, and see if that helps.
Hi,
So, before all of the options and solutions here, the Hot Keys were still assigned to CTRL-SHIFT-O; they were just not working and displaying the field information.
After reassigning them to CTRL-SHIFT-G the field information would display using the HOTKEYS.
For some reason, CTRL-SHIFT-O will not display the field information strangely enough even after being reassigned as the Hot Key definition.
Any ideas?
Currently, the Hot Key for Field Information is CTRL-SHIFT-G.
Thanks
I found it: Settings | Internet Options | Security tab | Select whichever zone your Portal shows up as (Ours is Local Intranet) | Click on Custom Level and go down to Security - Make sure that Allow status bar updates via script is Enabled.
This is already enabled and has been enabled.
Since changing the Hot Key reference to CTRL-SHIFT-G, the field information will dispay in the Status Bar; indicating the Options for the Internet Browser are set correctly.
The issue is the default, CTRL-SHIFT-O will not work and display the field information, as described above.
Steven, try assigning ctrl-shift-O to another function and see if it works.
