Transactions with selections will stop working after the 2020 update

Hi,

I have often created a custom list in CMS010 and used it in CMS015 to create an API transaction for my homepage. In CMS015, I have worked a lot with the selection fields, to make the widget in the homepage show the data I want. Selection fields are very nice to work with, since they allow filtering on a range and the user of the homepage can change the input values and thereby change what is visible. It also makes it possible to use the same sorting order and sorting option in many transactions in CMS015. By changing the selection field, I can for example get one transaction showing me all stopped supplier invoices and one showing all invoices that are overdue.

I have now noticed a message in CMS015, when entering in the selection field: 'WARNING: Transactions with selections will stop working after the September 2020 update. Use filter instead.'

Filter is not as flexible as selection fields and it would require creating a lot more sorting orders and sorting options than what have been required before. I therefore wonder if there will come any complement to the filter?

You are right... what a nightmare ! Infor can't do this. These selection fields are so usefull in a lot of situations. I don't understand this limitation. It will exist in M3CE and not in 13.4 ? So what about customers hoping to move to the cloud and using extensively this functionnality ? We may finish on the stake.

This is a bad news. I just now finished two requirements using selection fields without which the customer's requirement was not feasible.

Lets see if any new feature comes out or not for this. Or we need to work with filters only.

I have added a Support issue in Concierge with the number 14675903 for that and escalated already.

Answer so far is: It will not switched off, but if your list will generate to much machine load infor will switch it of for this special list.

That sounds fair for me.

> the newly introduced warning and errors when using selection filters in CMS015, CMS015MI, CMS100 and AHS112 (AHS112 already fixed) has been reverted fully
> A fix for this issue is available in 16.0.0
