We're a new customer that just begun some preliminary piloting with Infor Visual ERP 6.5.3 as of January 2009, running SQL Server 2005. The SP3 update has been around for some time, and I noted this link available in the Infor knowledgebase (see solution 1):
nowait.support.infor.com/.../esupport.aspI was wondering what kind of notification Infor would provide us as far as a green light when SP3 is generally approved for installation. We're running Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) 3.0 SP1, so holding it off is not an issue, but I would prefer to install it as far ahead of time to golive as possible...
We also run our own in-house developed DB's with Access ADP's as the frontend using SQL Server 2005 EE, and after about 6-8 weeks after applying SP3, I can safely say we have observed no ill effects. On the other hand, we don't do anything complex involving macros or triggers, which are some of what the update affects. You thoughts, folks?
