Homepages SDK sample ION API how to run in Multi-tenant cloud?

I have downloaded and installed the Homepages widget SDK and have finally gotten some of the samples to run.

I would like to run the ION API sample but it wants me to create a proxy server using the URL and port from ION API and I have been told that multi tenant doesn't work that way and that I need to use OAUTH2.

How would I go about doing that?

For MT you need to do the following:

1. In your configuration.json file you need to enter:
* ionApiUrl (https://ION-API-URL/tenant )
* ionApiToken (See below how to get it)

2. In your "index.html" when adding your new widget you need to refer to the configuration file with the "devConfiguration": :
* <lm-app devWidget="tenant.widgetname" devConfiguration="configuration.json"></lm-app>

3. Start your development server and now ION-API should work, please note that you need to refresh the token manually(entering the new token in the configuration.json) when it expires.

Retrieve ionAPIToken

1. Log on to Ming.le example: https://server/tenant a. Locate the server that Homepages is running on within Ming.le. You will need to check the server and port for Homepages and apply it to the template below. Use the browser developer tools to locate the URL for the IFrame in which Homepages is running. i. Open the browser developer tools (how depends on browser) ii. Use the element inspector tool and click the top bar in Homepages. Look for an Iframe element with a context root called /lime

2. Open a new tab in the same browser and navigate to the Grid SAML Session Provider OAuth resource.
a. The Grid must be version 2.0 or later with a SAML Session Provider configured for the same IFS as Ming.le (these conditions are true for the Homepages Grid) Template: https://{homepagesserver}:{homepagesport}/grid/rest/security/sessions/oauth
3. Copy the OAuth token string from the browser window

ok,I'm really lost. I have very little web experience and even less infor experience and it is showing.

I was able to find the iframe, but I'm not sure what to do from there.

What/where is the Grid SAML Session Provider OAuth resource. I didn't see it as a browser tool nor could I find in in ION API.

OK, I think I found a POST command that hit URL: https://mingle-portal.inforcloudsuite.com/api/site/tenant/MYCOMPANY_TRN/ and there is a port number on the POST command. Is that the what I need for the server and port?

Mine looks like this:

<iframe class="m-app-frame" name="homepages_1ee520e5-9e70-43fc-aaa2-d31310589a52" src="">mingle-extensions.eu1.inforcloudsuite.com/.../...."

And with this URL I use the below url to get the token:
https://mingle-extensions.eu1.inforcloudsuite.com/grid/rest/security/sessions/oauth

So in your case I guess that you can use:
https://mingle-extensions.inforcloudsuite.com/grid/rest/security/sessions/oauth
