Hi all,
Has anyone come across when posting a prior year journal to a profit and loss account, it does not then carry this through into the P&L retained account period1 for current year?
I have two different customer datasets (neither of them using OPA or Real Time) whereby it works in one but not the other and I cannot for the life me work out why?
I have compared the company maintenance setup, nominal account code setup, nominal set options, types and subtypes - what could i be missing?

Found the solution :-) in one of the datasets the suspense account was a P&L account and not a Balance Sheet account so it was unable to create the journal to the P&L retained as it needed a balance sheet account to balance forward :-)
