Is it possible to create ION API suite with public IP in host

Im trying to create a ION API suite with a public IP and port, i was able to access this from postman and i have a valid swagger document uploaded in the API Suite. When i try to invoke the api from swagger i'm getting ETIMEOUT from ION API Server.

Infor MT Cloud is a standard env that only allows outgoing traffic on standard SSL ports. So the ION API gateway can only reach any external API that is running on standard ports.

We are launching ION API gateway as a hybrid service that can run on Enterprise connector. ETA (On a non-committal basis) is September update. Once this is available, you can register this API suite as a local endpoint connected to MT via Enterprise connector. This will allow you to register APIs that are not exposed to internet as well as APIs such as these that are running on non-standard ports.

Are you attempting this from MT cloud? If so, you will have to use SSL at your public endpoint using the standard port 443.

Hi Brad,

Yes this is in MT.
The server is not SSL enabled, its a test server and we opened a port 8085 to access it public.
So if we enable the SSL at server side will it work?

I know SSL is required. When I dealt with support here recently is was discovered that you must use the standard port 443. To be clear though, I was connecting to an on-prem version of Mongoose. Good luck.

There is a capability planned for Enterprise Connector to proxy as ION API which would allow on-prem applications to use relaxed internal network securities.

Is this feature available now? We are trying to connect to cloud EAM web service, but the server that we are trying to connect is in a secured environment that doesnt allow connectivity to internet. We might be able to leverage this "ION API gateway as a hybrid service that can run on Enterprise connector".

If its available, could you please point me to the documentation?
