We are just about to start using Visual Shopfloor and I am wondering how best to set up costing. Up to now we have used machine run hours to attribute overheads to work orders - ie so much per hour. However, Shopfloor relies on labour (clocking in and onto jobs and off them again). Some of our machines run on 'lights out' so the operator will have clocked out but the job will still be running and consuming overhead. Can anyone suggest how I might proceed?
