How to update roles in IFS, by using BOD?

Hello,

I'm trying to update user's roles in IFS, by using the BOD Process.SecurityUserMaster.

I just manage to update some fields in the user account, but no update on roles.

Do you know if it is possible?

And if I'm using the right way?

and how to ?

I'm on-prem.

What exactly do you want to do ? Create role in IFS based on role you have created in M3 ? Or attach roles to a user ?

Yes, this is the right way and its possible through SecurityUserMaster noun. This is a standard noun. Infor Security (a.k.a IFS module) is the system of record for this noun. The SOR always publishes this Noun to its subscribers. i.e., the Sync.SecurityUserMaster BOD. Typically ERPs are subscribers to this noun.

When you want to update the roles to an existing user, the client system needs to send a Process.SecurityUserMaster BOD to IFS. You would need an ION flow to orchestrate this process. Usually there is a standard integration of user related data between Infor ERPs and IFS. If this is relating to any custom use cases, its a good idea to engage Infor Services or a Partner.

From what i see in the cloud edition, we only have a Sync.SecurityUserMaster_In at our disposal that updates MNS410 whenever you attach a role to a user in IFS... it's working the other way compared to what you want.
