Infor Lawson Add-ins unresponsive. Any ideas?

I have a user that has had Add-ins installed for quite some time, and has been using it with no issues. Now it no longer is working for her. She opens Excel, and when she clicks on one of the Infor Lawson choices, nothing happens. No response at all. It's almost like something is blocking it, or a flag is set incorrectly. So, for any of these choices here, when she clicks on it, nothing happens. No response.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Add-ins but it made no difference. Any ideas?

Not off the wall at all. This user is working from home and remoting in to her PC, so now that you mention this, it sounds quite likely. I am going to ask her to go into the office and try it there.

I had her try again...actually downloaded the latest version (10.0.9.34) just released a few day ago...I didn't even know there was a new one until I looked...and now it is working for her. But I don't think it was the version - I think it was just a "real estate" issue. I have had applications opening on the other screen when I used to remote in, and I always had to sort of jiggle the application to get it back on the same screen. Pretty sure this was the case here.

This isn't exactly what you are experiencing, but it may be worth a try:

Scenario
You have installed the Infor Lawson Add-Ins for Microsoft® Office and have been using them for a while. Now, all of a sudden, the Add-Ins option disappears from the menu at the top of Excel.

Solution
To get the Add-Ins menu item back, follow these steps:
? Open Excel
? Click File in the upper left portion of Excel
? Select Options from the list along the left
? Select Add-Ins from the list along the left of the Excel Options window
? Scroll down the list on the right side of the screen to get to the Disabled Application Add-Ins section
? Find Lawson MOA in the list
? Find the Manage dropdown list at the bottom of the window
? Select Disabled Items in the list
? Click the Go… button to the right of the list
? Select the Add-In and click Enable
? Close the windows to get back to Excel. You should now see the Add-Ins again.

Thanks for the suggestion, Don. She has nothing in that list - nothing is disabled.

An off the wall thought, but... is it possible the add-ins log in window is opening off screen? If you hover over the excel icon at the bottom of the user's screen after they select one of the add-ins, is the log in screen there, or only the excel worksheet?

Did you verify the version compatibility? If you did any patching or upgrading recently, you may need to upgrade the add-ins desktop install. They are very fickle - they'll work through a major upgrade (even if the docs say you should upgrade the desktop), then suddenly decide to not work after a small patching. Or... they'll work fine for every query and upload, except the one that was critical to your work yesterday, when a desktop upgrade fixes the issue.

Check with your network manager to see if they recently invoked restrictions e.g. macros, extensions or add-ins through group policy.

No patches or upgrades. That is always the first thing I look at. And she has the latest version of add-ins so that is not an issue.

Thanks - not an issue since no one else is having the problem. But I suspect the issue is that she is connecting from home and not seeing her full screens. I will post back after she goes back in the office and checks it there.
