Does anybody have experience with processing pro-rated sick time for 1199 employees on leave (i.e. Disability)? According to the 1199 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) employees are paid a pro-rated amount of sick time based on their calculated weekly earnings. We are looking for a way to better automate this process so Department Heads/Timekeepers do not have to calculate the pro-ration and then enter it onto the timecard.
I am thinking maybe of an IPA flow that will look for 1199 employees on leave and trigger a task to Payroll to ask how many pro-rated days to enter. The flow would then look at the employee's shift and pay rule to determine the number of hours the employee would normally work and calculate the pro-ration, but this seems a bit clunky.
