Delivery Note to Excel

One of my customers would like to print their delivery notes to excel. They have a couple of customers that need the delivery notes in excel format and currently they manual either copy and paste or type. They don't want to go down the route of reporter or XRL they just want to create an excel spreadsheet at point of printing the delivery note.

I tried creating an inde_xls.frx and frt but unless I manually edit the printer settings in the form each time I print I get a detail band error. I've set up a new paper size and attached to the printer, so far no luck. Has anyone managed to get this to work ?

If just done a quick test here by saving the standard SQINDE as SQINDE_XLS, then adding an entry for it in Report Layouts and it worked fine.

Thank you for checking. Not sure what I am doing wrong maybe I have an old sqinde.frx ?

I would make sure that none of the standard fields have been deleted, like the references to p_oCallingObject.SetReportTable(), never alter the grouping, also I wouldn't have thought a custom paper size would be necessary, A4 landscape should be OK for an SOP document.

I'm still failing. I've installed a fresh copy of Opera so I have up to date reports. Then copied and renamed sqinde to sqinde_xls and I still have the detail band error. If possible could you send me your working reports my email is felicity.langley@applieduk.com.

I've managed to get it working by removing my Microsoft XPS writer from printers and faxes. No idea why this was causing the problem. But it is now exporting.
