Lawson Stock on Hand Consistently High; Troubleshooting Help

Good Afternoon Everyone,

The pandemic has really brought to light some issues in how our inventory is managed and how frequently our stock on hand can be different between Lawson and our physical shelves. We have identified some unit of measure problems and some receiving problems, but the majority of the variances we have are seemingly unable to be explained. 

What steps do you and your teams take to troubleshoot items when counts are off by a large margin?

I have been using Lawson for over 3 years, but feel like I have hit a roadblock in helping our warehouse team diagnose these variances.

You would need to verify that all interfaces are functioning properly.  Here, we would look for a pyxis unit that either wasn't sending or was not set up in Lawson so it was sending to a black hole.

Is this affected by EDI?  Is EDI duplicating receipts?  Is the dock?

Is your inventory manned 24/7 and if not - what is the process for telling Lawson about after hours emergencies?

After that it gets into the ugly "something is causing product to walk" and looking at your staff.
