Getting strange error in LID - Any ideas?
asztudenyak
This just started yesterday. Error is on the LAPM command. Some programs work, but most don't. Portal works fine.

Sounds like you're out of licenses. Did you check the output of 'licsta' to see the usage? This gives you totals for licenses allowed and highest use.

You probably went over your licenses a while back. Once you go over the max, you get a grace period to get in compliance. Once that has expired, any user that tries to launch a BN form beyond the max will get this error.

I did run listca. Looks like our limit is 10, and we went over it twice in March. Not a clue how that would happen as there is only our DEV team (4 people) and 1 user that that ever accesses LID. And our Dev team is down by one. We have had this for 11 years and never have had this error. Really really weird.

Did you check your latm.cfg? There are settings for application and user limits that may need to be tweaked. You'll have to consult the admin guide -- I would check the RUNAPPS and PMUSERS parameters as well as the timeouts.
Changes to latm.cfg require you to stoplatm/startlatm.

Thanks. Doesn't make sense that we would need to tweak any settings. We have the same limited # of LID users (5 - at the max) that we have always had. - for over 10 years now. I have someone helping us with this now, so thanks for the information everyone!

If I remember correctly from my LID days, if you open multiple screens (I think the shortcut is F10) that counts as two users. So if you run two BN32 screens side by side, you count as 2 users rather than 1.
