Usage of Smart Notifications for HR activities/transcations

Please forgive me if you've already seen this same post in the LBI group! (I wanted to post it in both in case appropriate readers were not subscribed to both groups...)

Does anyone use Smart Notifications for HR activities?

We are on Windows platform, running Lawson 9.0.1.x (environment & apps) and are licensed for LBI, but do not presently use Smart Notifications. We'd like to find out how useful other organizations have found Smart Notifications to be, especially with regards to Human Resources (job/position changes, terminations, etc.) functions/activity.

If anyone would be willing, please let us know, as we would like to discuss this topic with you.

We have a ton of Smart Notes that we use in HR for various functions from changes in job/positions from MSS input, terminations, licenses/certification expirations, etc. We are also on Lawson 9.0.1. If we didn't have Smart Notes, my job would be a lot harder. I just did create the licenses/certification Smart Note.

I have just started to working on a project in our TEST environment to use required qualifications/certifications per job code and/or position. My IS team has developed a pretty cool Webi report but are looking to create a Smart Note as phase 2. Please let me know if you'd be willing to share, thanks!

CindyN: I would be interested in more information about the Smart Note you created associated with licensure/certification expirations. Could you share how you set it up, how it is triggered, and to whom the note is sent?

Our Smart Note for License/Certifications are triggered off of the Renewal Date on PA22. We have set our Smart Note to trigger so many days out before the license/certification is due. Our first one triggers at 60 days before the license is due. If our employee has email (some of them don't), we use the smart note to send the employee an email that their license/certification is due in 60 days. The same smart note also sends the manager of that employee a notification also.
