How to quickly and easily email payment advices to vendors

hi

We pay 100 vendors per week. We have sent the payments via EFT and wish to advise those same vendors via email.

This is the method we use here but it is tedious and time consuming. We print each vendor's payment advice separately to PDF manual name each PDF file, and attach each PDF file to an email recipient.

If you are doing it an easier way can you describe your procedure please? Thank you.

I would write an on save macro in Payment entry that does the steps for you. As you process the payment, the macro would run and your next step would be to hit send.

You would have to have a default e-mail in customer maintenance, and primopdf or another pdf generator installed, but it's a fairly straight-forward macro.

Has anyone out there actually written this macro? Or come up with an automated method for emailing payment advices as a batch instead of one-by-one?

I would like the same thing, but I don't know of a way to do that yet.

Yes.....
I have written an automated method of doing this, using Visual Studio and a PDF library called PDFTechLib. The PDF add on is not terribly expensive.... but requires some level of programming skill to pull this off.

Batch print invoices to one PDF.

Launch utility which does the following:

Separate PDF into 1 PDF per page
Read info from PDF based on its position on page
If has email address, create email from info on PDF and send
If has no email, print out

We are using a third party application/tool to create an ACH file for our bank and send pdf payment notifications to vendors. It is part of the BMS365 Paperless App. They are two separate modules for the Paperless App that we purchased.
