Testing 2016 Taxes

We are trying to test 2016 taxes in PR80 using the payment date of 1/1/2016 and keeping receiving an error when we calculate the payment. "Payment number already used". If I use the same information in PR80 but use a 2015 payment date it calculates without issue. Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Have you ran PR999 to switch over to 2016? Does your HR00 Payroll tab show 2016? Have you installed the initial Payroll Yearend download?

We have not run PR999 yet. I thought I could run checks with a week or two of the year change without running PR999. HR00 still shows 2015. The year end patches for payroll have been loaded.

You have to run PR999 before you can create a 2016 check, as it creates your 2016 work periods in PR21.1. (Our production environment is still 2015 and I am not able to create a 2016 PR80 either.)

PR221 shows payment dates into 2016. But I'll run PR999. Thanks

I ran PR999 and then I ran a PR80 for 2016. I still receive the same error!

Just a FYI, it turned out that BN12 needed to be updated for 2016. What a weird error message for that!
