HSA - RS or DC plan types????

Any thoughts on setting up a HSA as either a DC or RS plan type?

I was first thinking it didn't matter but then last night I thought that an RS plan has an end date attached to it when it is added and if a person does not go through open enrollment the following year, the HSA deduction will automatically end even though it should not.

Thoughts?

Hi Margie,
We use RS for our HSAs because we make people re-enroll in them each year, since the annual contribution amounts change, as may our company match. We like the end dating.
