PR160 runs much slower after upgradign form 9.0 to 9.1
unknown
We recently upgraded from Lawson 9.0 to Version 9.1. Our users are reporting that since the upgrade the PR160 is running much slower than previously. We are seeing times 2 to 3 slower than on the 9.0 version.
Have others noticed this same slowness after upgrading. This company is using Absence Management and I am suspecting that this may be part of the culprit even though we had the same LP structions on 9.0.

We are on 9.0.1.7. Our PR160 runs slowly, but it varies widely - I was just looking at the one from last night. It ran in 3 hrs. The one last pay perieod ran in 6 hrs; the one before that ran in 9 and then the one before that ran in 3 hrs ! I do suspect that it has something to do with time accrual (yes we still use time accrual) and/ or the number of time records that affect time accrual, but not sure why such a wide swing.

Are you creating a Laser Print File or creating the image data for Checks / Receipts
Do you use the PYMOUT file or XML format?
If you are using PYMOUT, I was in the PR160 program and noticed that thst code had been added related to perfomance. You can disable the XML creation via the use of a Working Storage flag in PR160WS or PRLASERWS (for PR180)
That seem to impact performance
I had the create XML value setup to create and PR180 ran for 8 minutes for one check.
Checnged the setting and it created the check in 8 seconds !!
