We went live with SCM and EFM in 2006 and HCM in 2008. We use a single HR company as well as a single Procurement company for the 50+ GL companies that we have. We have aligned our HR process level with the GL companies so that the W2's are issued correctly. We interface timekeeping records every other Wednesday afternoon for approximately 50K employees, run PR140 on Thurdays and finish with PR197/PR198 on Fridays before the transactions are posted in GL on Saturdays. Of course there are many other interfaces coming in and jobs being run in addition to these but it works very smoothly.

Thank you for the reply. Had you been common paymaster prior to going with HCM? We currenly have one company and 8 Process levels and they are all independent. We will start to file under one paymaster and we are trying to research the process. Can it be done at a quarter or just at the beginning of a new years. Did the change effect any other areas of they systems?

I do not know the answer to that. I am checking with one of our payroll experts and will get back to you.

My contacts say that we have a common pay agent not a common paymaster. I guess there is a difference, so we could not advise you on this. Sorry!
