Direct Manager not updating on WorkAssignment from Position

We are seeing an issue with the Direct Manager not updating on the WorkAssignment from Position. We ran the following Data Maintenance Utilities with no error:

- Rebuild Organization Unit Work Assignment Data

- Rebuild Reporting Relationship

- Rebuild Supervisor Chart

None of these fixed the issue. Anyone see this before? What was the fix?

First you need to make sure the "Work Assignment Synchronization" is flagged on the Organization setup. Next, make sure the field is set to default on the Position Defaulting Rules. Lastly, if you've ever overridden the field on someone's work assignment, the defaulting link will be "broken" and won't default when you make a change on the position. This is why Infor recommends "default no override" for as many fields as possible.

Yes we have seen this and if the above process doesn't work and if you don't have the Work Assignment Synchronization as TB Whitney mentions with the Position Defaulting Rules, then look to see if the resource was transferred into the position prior to the direct supervisor being updated. (The effective date on the position supervisor would be after the Work Assignment effective date.)
