If your company wanted to give everyone across the board a 2% annual increase in salary (with a few exceptions) how would you do this? Create a spread sheet of everyone eligible and increase their salary 2% and do a PA upload?
That's what we do. I throw the PA100 report-only into a csv file and verify it with a simple VLOOKUP to audit the output before running it in update mode.
We do an upload as well.
1) Create an employee group that includes everyone, use an exclude for those few exceptions
2) Process a PA52.2-Mass Pay Action with 2% Increase (rate change tab)
You'll need to process PA52.2 twice, once for hourly employees and once for salaried employees
We process our mass pay actions the same way.
We do too. I just noticed I have a rounding problem when I do it in the system versus excel spreadsheet upload.
At a previous employer I had to extract all the employees they wanted, along with the pay range for their position so that they could see if the increase would not put them over the max. Those that would go over the max would get the eligible % and the rest as a lump sum.
why the employee group? is this to identify the specific employees who are eligible? all employees are eligible with the exception of three job codes.
I was planning on running an add-inn excel spread sheet to include only the jobs that are eligible.
In prior years (before my time) it looks like the manager created employee groups every year. That seems like a lot of extra stuff in Lawson that is only used for one time.
Please let me know if I am overlooking anything. Instead of creating employee groups, could I create a spread sheet using add-inns and select only the job codes needed, then use that for the upload to Lawson?
You could but with the number of job codes we have I wouldn't want to list all those in an add-in. Wouldn't it be easier to create an employee group that says exclude these 3 job codes and then with the add-in extract everyone with the on employee group? Once you are completed then delete the employee group.
